Servant mentality The attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus Philippians 2: 5 To be a servant you must think like a servant. God is more interested in why we do the things that we do. Servants think more about others than themselves. They focus on others, not themselves. This is what lose your life, forgetting yourself to serve others. Jesus emptied himself, taking the form of a servant (Philippians 2: 7 PAR) can not be a servant if youre full of yourself. Only when we forget ourselves can do things that deserve to be remembered. Servants think like stewards, not owners. Remember that everything belongs to God. In the Bible, a steward was a servant who was entrusted property. The service and stewardship go together, since God expects us to be trustworthy in both. The Bible says: The only thing that is required to be such servants is to be faithful to his master 1 Corinthians 4: 2 (PAR) Servants think about their work, not on what others do. Do not compare, criticize, or compete with other servants or ministries. They are busy doing the work God gave them. Real servants do not complain of injustice, no living mourning nor resent those not serving. Just trust in God and continue to serve. The servants base their identity in Christ. Because they remember that they were loved and accepted by grace not have to prove their merit not feel threatened by inferior tasks. One of the most poignant examples of service is the very image displayed when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. Servants think in the ministry as an opportunity, not an obligation. They enjoy helping people, meeting their needs and making their ministry. Serve the Lord with gladness (Psalm 100: 2). God will use you if you start acting and thinking like a servant.
