Service Advisory: Manhole Fire Impacting Service on the 8 Av A/C/E Lines Shortly after 6pm this evening, a manhole fire south of West 4 Street damaged signal power cables and is currently impacting service on the 8 Av A/C/E lines. Currently, there are delays on the A/C/E lines as well as the B/D/F/M and R lines as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Crews are at work making repairs but service on the 8 Av A/C/E lines may be impacted through the a.m. peak period tomorrow morning. Customers traveling on the 8 Av line tomorrow morning are urged to check service status at mta.info or monitor local news outlets for the latest service updates.
