Service Engineer (Mechanical) Job Description Repair various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC) Complete repair quotes for repair times, check repair data, and schedule/prioritize all departmental work Operate specialized repair, testing and lifting equipment as needed (e.g. crane/lifting equipment, oxygen and acetylene welding equipment, puller, lathe machines, balancing machine, vibration & alignment tools) Assist & advice as needed for mechanical repair/replacement work, produce technical drawings and illustration as necessary Provide technical support for customer when necessary, including but not limited to: confirming technical or engineering modifications using proper software/tool, root cause or failure analysis development. Regularly review & giving recommendation of mechanical procedure (working instruction) and manage “best practice” on proper repository Generate idea & implementing kind of improvement which relate to quality, effectiveness and efficiency of works Provide work reports to both management and customers Requirements: Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering 3-5 years’ experience similar field. Good understanding of various AC/DC rotating machines Sound knowledge in installation, commissioning and maintenance. (corrective, preventive and predictive) of electro-mechanical equipment.
