Service, Guilt Trips, and Beating the Sheep Spiritual Maturity 2014 Work, work, and more work. The control method used here is exhaustion. The members does not have the time or energy to question the doctrines being pounded in by the church. The other mind-control method being used here is to place the member on a guilt trip in order to get more money and work out of him. Work and money allow the church to reach new members and receive more money. Faithful members are on a constant treadmill. Their appointment calendar shows a full schedule of church activities for months in advance. The practice is standard operating procedure in many churches and denominations. In some churches the members never do enough, never give enough money, and are told they fail in every other expectation. The practice is referred to by wise members as beating the sheep. New members are quickly baptized into membership or unto salvation. Both of these doctrines are false. Next comes the whipping for not doing enough. Many pastors become experts in dipping and whipping the sheep. The member is placed on a powerful guilt trip, causing him to submit more completely to the church. Saying no to anything requested of him is simply out of the question. Members are shamed into performing according to the church leaders. The members in these churches usually look like they have been sucking on a lemon. They have no joy and no freedom of expression. Ritual, tradition, repetition, and quenching of the Holy Spirit kill the joy of worshiping in spirit and truth. John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. 25 The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming (who is called Christ). When He comes, He will tell us all things. 26 Jesus said to her, I who speak to you am He. The book The Purpose-Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? by Pastor Rick Warren is a perfect example of many legalistic indoctrinations wrapped up in one bound package. The book has the correct title for placing fleshly church members on a guilt trip of endless service. The readers are not encouraged to be Spirit-Driven, Spirit-Filled, or Christ-Driven as would be expected for a Christian. Fleshly members are thrilled at the prospect of doing works as were the Pharisees in Christs time. They feel justified by their works of service. This book is highly praised by church Pastors because attendance grows and more money is taken in by the church. Members that fall for the Purpose-Driven Life scam quickly fall for the tithing scam as well. Unfortunately, the book does not contain the gospel. People are put to work without receiving salvation. They are blind to the true doctrines of the Bible. The term Jesus used for these blind individuals leading the blind was blind guides. Matthew 23:16 Woe to you, blind guides, who say, `Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it. 17 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold? 18 And, `Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it. 19 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 20 Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it. 21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it. 22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it. 23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. Bondage preaching pastors have personality characteristics very similar to those of a dictator. In fact, they tend to be harsh dictators in the management of their churches. Some of these characteristics are: • Bondage pastors rarely motivate the church membership by leading and inspiring. • Bondage pastors generally motivate the members using threats, condemnation, insults, and peer pressure. • Bondage pastors do not function as shepherds caring for their flocks. They function more like the sheepdog nipping at the members backsides trying to get them to pay more money, teach more, witness more, attend all services, and take all of the abuse without a whimper. • Bondage pastors do not care what the members think or how they feel. Bondage pastors insists on compliance and submission without question. • Bondage pastors excel in the use of brainwashing techniques. • Bondage pastors can range for extremely severe to mildly so. They can be clever and sly. • Bondage pastors talk about money, or the lack thereof, in nearly every service or meeting. • Bondage pastors are said to beat the sheep. • Bondage pastors are very un-Christlike. Church members in a church with a bondage preaching pastor also have distinct personality characteristics. Those members who do not possess these characteristics tend to drift away, leaving a church with a concentration of these submissive types. • Bondage church members are typically very submissive. • Bondage church members tend to follow without question, especially after many years of brainwashing by the bondage-preaching pastor. • Bondage church members tend to try hard to comply to the demands. • Bondage church members become brainwashed into believing the condemnation. • Bondage church members eventually agree with the pastor that they are worthless, selfish, lazy, sinful, and unworthy. • Bondage church members submit to emotional and verbal beatings. • Bondage church members usually have a facial expression that is blank. They appear to be unhappy and depressed. • Bondage church members are commonly said to appear to be sucking on a lemon. • Bondage church members are rarely self-motivated. • Bondage church members become brainwashed into not thinking for themselves. • Bondage church members do not study Scripture themselves and do not arrive at their own understanding. • Bondage church members sometimes join in a suicide pact with the pastor by drinking the poison punch or shooting at law enforcement officers. Since the beginning of the year the message being brought through this medium is consistent, grow to spiritual maturity. It is the truth that is why some of your spirits are vexed. Some may or may have not experienced but if yon have traveled in Christian circles you have all heard about I these types of tactics. We cannot be effective emissaries for Christ if we are on the distraction treadmill of Satan. Saints I plead with you to wake up so we can get His house in order. Always remember God is watching and no matter what they tell you, we will have to answer for every idle word and we receive loos for he works we do that are no steeped in the leading of the Holy Spirit. God Bless
