Set aside the economic idiocy of this one. Just think about the philosophy of government that lies behind it, crystalized in former Mexican President Felipe Calderons statement, “The mistake we made in Mexico was to let cities develop however they want, and it’s a mess. Let cities develop however they want? Cities arent persons. They have no intellects, no emotions, no wills. Cities dont want. PEOPLE want. So what Calderone is really saying is, We let people do what they wanted, and its a mess. HE, of course, would have known better what was good for all those people. And he knows now. This is the ideology of the totalitarian who considers other people inanimate objects for him to move about and control as he will. And its fully in keeping with Gores ideology, revealed in the final chapter, A Global Marshall Plan, of his EARTH IN THE BALANCE, in which he called policies that could be implemented only at the cost of giving world government control over the minutest aspects of peoples lives.--ECB
