Set up: My husband continually wins his company cook offs (because I do most of the cooking). So my husband was asked if he would bow out of the cook offs. My Husband (Barry) wrote the following response to that request (I barely know what to do with him sometimes). Dear Sir: I wanted to respond to your request that I retire from active competition at work. I am willing to retire as the winningest competitor in the history of the company culinary competition however, I have a few stipulations. 1. For the rest of the competitions at work, any awards given for culinary achievement must be referred to as "The Barry Archer Award for Culinary Excellence". Those awards must be presented by me. 2. All winning entries must agree to appear in my soon to be released cookbook "Cooking with Barry". All submissions will become the sole property of Cooking with Barry, Inc. No monetary compensation shall be provided to any submittants. 3. All competitions forthwith will begin with a parade in my honor, during which I will be pushed by the most recent winner in an office chair of my choosing. The parade can be no shorter than a distance equal to thrice perimeters of the 10th floor. 4. The parade must be led by (Director of Human Resources), echoing the mantra "All hail the culinary king". Singing my praises, although not required, is encouraged. 5. In the office a plaque must be hung in a public area with my name and picture on it, stating my culinary achievements. All subsequent winners will be hung underneath said plaque, with a small tab. Tab not to exceed 2" in length or width. 6. I must be referred to as "Chef". 7. An appearance fee of $50 per event must be paid prior to the parade. Or. I can just keep on winning!!!
