Setback for Saylor. While her right arm and right tib-fib are nearly 100% healed, the left tib-fib, the location of the compound fracture, is not healing properly and so she will have to have a second surgery soon to re-set that bone and attached hardware. He will also biopsy the bone at the break point and check for signs of indolent infection as he called it. Having a bone sticking out of her body for over 24 hours was an extreme hardship and it really is a wonder that she has done as well as she has. We were warned to expect setbacks, but they are deflating nonetheless.
