Seth has just burned the pad of his index finger on a lightbulb, its gone white, and is about as big as a Smartie. There appears to be no blister at the moment, and his finger is not swelling. Ive done the normal thing, running it under cold water for about 40 mins, given him ibuprofen and lightly dressed in a gauze dressing. However in looking at the internet, it says white burns are full thickness burns and I should take him to casualty. Of course I will if completely necessary but after last time, I am loathe to do so. Does anyone have any insight into burns and the treatment of and whether I should take him in, or can I take him to the Doctors in the morning?
