Sethi’s Points of 10 Blunders On the night of 2nd August 2011, on Geo Tv, Mr. Najam Sethi pointed out 10 blunders committed by the past rulers who run the affairs of Pakistan from the back door by grabbing power from the Civilian Politicians through their rod of rule. First blunder he quoted was, Liquat Ali Khan’s leaning to American block for necessary aid, support and help. Secondly Justice Muneer’s Law of necessity Judicial verdict in favor of Govt. Third was making of one unit in west Pakistan or merger of all Provinces into one. Fourth was after general elections in 1971 held by Yahya, no transfer of power to Mujib. Fifth was take over of general Zia ul Haq from the Civilian Prime Minister. Sixth was Bhutto’s hanging. Seventh was take over of Musharraf from the elected prime minister. Eight was removal of chief justice. Ninth was NRO and tenth was Asif Ali Zardari’s take over as the President of Pakistan and therefore Nawaz Sharif’s separation from reconciliation or coalition govt. with ppp. Mr. Sethi’s all above points are valid for the present turmoil in every aspect of life in Pakistan for which he must be appreciated and highly regarded but there are not blunders but frauds which have created upsetting in the present system though 64 years have passed to achieve the independence or partition from India. Mr Sethi and his anchor a young and beautiful chap Mr. Muneeb Farooq are reminded to cover the following economic, social and political frauds made by rulers with the poor Pakistanis because of them the nation of Pakistan (the third generation) suffer from insoluble miseries and mishaps even killing and murdering each others. (i) Lump sum migration from India, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iran and other countries and its concentration to one place Karachi. (ii) Shifting of Capital from Karachi to Islamabad at the very nascent stage costing about Rs. Sixty billion taken as debt from the World Bank and other agencies the burden thereof has yet been felt and paid. (iii) No attention of Government towards development of the land lying barren and uncultivated on the sides of superhighway from Karachi to Hyderabad although the tremendous quantity of water was available in the Indus River during those days from 1950 to 1990. If this long area of land had been cultivated, we could have been able to earn big amount of foreign exchange by exporting fruit and other commodities etc. (iv) No equal distribution of wealth in smaller provinces or states. (v) No equal employment opportunities to the people of smaller provinces. (vi) No Constitution for running the affairs of the country. (vii) No control of Havoc created by the civilian and military bureaucracy of Pakistan being 90% in majority from only one province- Punjab.(viii) Misuse of judiciary by the grabbers of power from time to time. (ix) Hanging of a civilian elected prime minister and no accountability from other grabbers of power and allowing exile to elected prime minister belonging to the big province although sentenced by the courts.(x) Frequent changes of civilian governments like two times of Benazir Bhutto and three times of Mr. Nazwaz Sharif. (xi) Even after separation of one part of the country i.e. Bangladesh, no equal treatment to smaller Provinces (xii) Discriminatory educational system based on urban and rural bifurcation as in rural areas local system prevails and in urban areas private Beacon and Atchison etc system which has created discrimination in all respects with in the country (xiii) Private banks have created profiteering only and not facilitation or national cohesion based on equality and equity. (xiv) Encroachment of military agencies on running banks, commercial and business enterprises, construction and other professions.(xv) creating dealers and not leaders.
