Seven Hills- A wedding and 21st birthday celebration took a violent turn when nine men erupted into a car park brawl overnight. Three people were injured during a drunken brawl which broke out near a function centre in in Seven Hills. Two groups, one believed to be at a wedding and the other at a 21st birthday party, clashed outside the function about 11pm last night. The man, from St Marys, was taken to Westmead Hospital where he’s reported to be in a stable condition. Police have been told a 24-year-old man was hit over the head with a glass bottle then struck in the neck with the broken bottle. Up to nine people were involved, leading to the Public Order and Riot Squad, more than a dozen local police officers and the dog squad rushing to Quinn Ave to break up the melee. Two men were taken away by police officers, while three people were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries. Police were not yet able to confirm if charges are expected to be laid against the two detained men. Investigators intend to speak with the injured man when he is well enough; however, further inquiries are being conducted by detectives during the day with identified witnesses.
