Seven-year-old Tex is looking for a very special adopter who will not only love him, but will be able to tend to his medical needs. After coming to the MD SPCA, little Tex was taken to a cardiologist for a consultation. He was diagnosed with moderate heart disease that requires taking medication indefinitely and being seen by a cardiologist, yearly. Tex is currently in foster care until we can find him a new home. His foster dad said, Tex’s favorite activity is just sitting with you. Most of the time you wouldn’t know he’s around. However, pay him a little attention and once he is comfortable with his surroundings and people, he will become one of the most playful pups I have seen. I have chased him around the kitchen and living room, played a very gentle tug of war and got on the floor with him to play. I wear out before he does and soon as you stop, he will sit and waits to be petted. Tex will sleep under the covers right beside you.
