Seven-year-olds are happier when they are allowed some sweets, - TopicsExpress

Seven-year-olds are happier when they are allowed some sweets, snacks and television time, rather than none at all, suggests a study of childrens well-being as reported on BBC News. Children who enjoyed school PE a lot were more likely to feel positive than those who didnt like it. The Food Doctor says its important to set an example: Typically if you make healthy food choices yourself, kids are likely to follow your example. If your kids see you gorging on junk food on a regular basis, then they are likely to follow the trend you set. So change your foods habits, and the likelihood is that with time your kids will change their eating habits too. However, be weary that children may become overwhelmed if you introduce too many new foods to them all at once. Instead, introduce one new food a week, opt for small portions and present new food as finger foods, this may make trying new food more exciting to eat for children.
