Seventy years ago, our Allied troops stormed the beaches at Normandy in the largest seaborne invasion in history. This day is a time to reflect with pride on the heroism of those who served this country to achieve peace and liberty throughout the world. This D-Day, the citizens of Northern Michigan, and the rest of the country, join together to honor those brave service members who sacrificed so much for this country. On behalf of Northern Michigan, we thank you for your service.
