Several Durham faith groups in attendance at DPD’s Lunch and Learn session on November 11, 2014 stepped up to meet the immediate needs of a homeless family DPD employees have been helping over the last three weeks. Sponsored by Project Safe Neighborhoods the luncheon marked the close of DPD’s three-year FaithActs initiative that was created to strengthen police-faith community partnerships. Partners in attendance included: Christian Assembly Fellowship, White Rock Baptist Church, Life International Church, The River Church, Bethel Christian Center, Bull City Outreach Ministry, Fisher Memorial United Holy Church, Refiner’s Fire Community Church, Alliance Behavioral Health, Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Durham Prison Re-Entry Program.
