Several events are scheduled in the next month to help alumni and students with finding employment. Attend the upcoming VSU Fall Career Expo on October 8th to meet with recruiters from government, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and social service sectors to name a few. Recruiters will be on hand to discuss professional full-time as well as part-time opportunities in addition to internships and cooperative education. During the various Career Day Advantage Seminars scheduled, learn how to network with employers at career fairs and market yourself effectively for professional and experiential opportunities. The seminar will address appropriate dress, non-verbal mannerisms, researching employers, managing one’s time during the event, and following up with employers after the career fair. Bring a hard copy of your resume for review anytime during the hours and days scheduled below and receive on the spot feedback from a career professional. Resume books and informational packets with be available. Attendees will also receive free samples of resume paper (while supplies last).
