Several things to hit on today: * Over the past few days, Ive heard from some of you who have missed a Saturday training run, or fallen behind in your mid-week training, for whatever reason(s) ... do not worry! Reach out to myself, Coach Patrice or Coach Danny and we will help you get back on track. * I heard great reaction to our Purple The Path this past Saturday -- from TEAM members and also from non-TEAM runners who were along the trail. Lets keep the Purple Power going each and every week -- wear purple for Saturday morning training. * It sure was hot and humid this past Saturday, and thats exactly why we always stress the importance of running with a Hydration System. Its crucial to pay attention to hydration as the temperature gets up there. You should have a drink (water, Gatorade,coconut water) every 10 minutes or so. * Sample the different flavors of GU now. Some are great; some, not so great. Dont wait till race day to see if you can, for instance, stomach chocolate GU because you love all-things-chocolate. * Pay attention to your pacing -- the time it takes you to run the first mile and the time it takes you to run the 10th mile in a 10-mile training run.
