Several weeks ago I told you all about how years ago I signed up with AT&T Wireless when I bought the iPhone 1. At the time I signed up for their Unlimited Data for iPhone for $30 per month. So, I was grandfathered in to the unlimited plan even after AT&T quit offering it, meaning I was supposed to get unlimited data. Well, the big companies did what most big companies do and got quite greedy. AT&T quietly, surreptitiously, sneakily started throttling the data of people like me who were grandfathered in to the unlimited data program. Because profit. While I was living up to my end of the agreement and paying on time every month, they had broken their agreement with me, proving that they are not to be trusted. After a few years of this, I decided a few weeks ago that I was done with them and I was going to switch to T-Mobile. At that time I told you about this and said I would let you know how the transition went and what I thought of it. I am happy to report that I prefer T-Mobile, even though their cellular coverage is not quite as good as AT&T, mainly in rural areas. I am getting unlimited data (for real), unlimited talk, and unlimited texting for myself and my wife for $100 per month. Thats almost $60 less per month than I was paying AT&T for 800 minutes talk, 200 texts, and unlimited (not really...because profit) per month. Also, I get free unlimited data streaming of Rhapsody (no ads and as many skips as I want), Pandora, IHeartRadio, etc. Plus, unlimited data and text in 120 countries. Plus a few other things that make T-Mobile a far better choice than any of the others. T-Mobile is beginning to expand their cellular coverage now because they are growing faster than any other carrier, too. Plus...I really like their CEO, John Legere. I will let you know if any of this changes, but as of right now, I like T-Mobile much, much better than AT&T or Verizon (I had Verizon for 6 years, and AT&T for about 10 years).
