Several years ago, I was part of an investigative team that spent the night in the old Dona Ana County jail facility. It was no longer active and the property had been purchased by a private party. The on site maintenance staff had told us of seeing movement and the feeling of being watched and had nicknamed, whatever was there, Bubba. We walked through the building in daylight the weekend before to familiarize ourselves with the maze of cells and hallways there. The main jail area had no active electrical or other utilities (they had been cut off since it was no longer in use). Even in daylight, walking into the main cell area was like stepping into darkness. I was carrying a rig that had two cameras; one IR and the other a full spectrum and both were simultaneously recording. Look at the right hand side of the doorway after the cell door as I pan to the left and then pan back to the right. Something is in the doorway then gone in less than three seconds. Only the full spectrum camera recorded this but the IR camera did not. To this day, I wonder if this was Bubba or something else. What do you think?
