Several years ago a very dear family shared one of their family traditions with me. They both have gone to be with the Lord since then. Grandaddy and Sue. We miss you. Their tradition was, since Christmas is Christs Birthday, that when the nativity set was set out each year, the manger was left empty till Christmas morning. Then the youngest grandchild was given Baby Jesus to place in the manger for his birth. I fell in love with this family and tradition. I have been keeping an eye out for a manger with a separate Baby Jesus, so we could start our own tradition. My youngest daughter, Lori Kitchens, surprised me today with an early Christmas present , a manger with a separate Baby Jesus. I was so excited and brought to tears with joy. Christmas is about remembering Christ our Lord and Savior. Thank you Lori for starting a tradition that will last for generations to come. Merry Christmas to you all! Happy Birthday Jesus!
