Several years ago my mother wanted to make a cousins quilt in memory of her Mom and Dad, they had 13 children you see and my Mother who is now 90 was next to the baby in the line! The only ones left living besides her is her brother Jay who is 92 and sister Alice who is 94! To make a long story short my sister, brother and I are the youngest of 53, 1st cousins from this wonderful family! As you can guess with her oldest sister 20 years older than her, my mother was the same age as a lot of her nieces and nephews! I just wanted to show you a little of my version of her original cousins quilt! This one I have made is for my brother, each white block in the middle has a cousins name and date of birth embroidered on it, the large block has my grandparents names and dates of birth, then embroidered next to their names is all their children....my aunts and uncles and their spouses...I am truly blessed to be part of this wonderful family! This quilt top is now ready for the quilter, and Im anxious to see it completed! I will show this again once its quilted... Thanks for reading my story!
