Several years back I had the most amazing job, it was fulfilling, I enjoyed it, my hours were flexible and great people to work with. One day the opportunity came for me to move my office into my upstairs at home. I thought, this is awesome!!! I did this for close to a year except something happened in my mind. I grew weary of my office and in a matter of time I was so miserable I finally resigned and opened a coffee shop. What happened? I was alone in my office, I had no face to face contact anymore, no one to encourage me! This is how trying to recover by myself is nearly impossible, God designed us for relationships because our minds need the stimulus of others. When we fail someone is there to help us get back up! I am grateful for my relationships and experience first hand a hand up. My coffee shop failed, Dara and I sold most all our assets to pay debt and had several offers to move in with others while we regroup, one we took up the offer! So with a little help from our friends and family we are recovering from about 1/2 million dollars in losses. I have my job back, but I get to go into a office with others. Our remaining furniture is being kept by a friend until we assume another residence! Thank you for assisting us regardless of how big or how small, it is not unnoticed, our God is always working! Meanwhile Dara and I are so grateful to be in Celebrate Recovery, our safe place to heal, impacting lives, thats what we do!!! Exodus 17:12 (NIV) But Moses hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
