Several years back I was skeptical when Sandy Koufax, Clayton Kershaw and Vin Scully had this TV special heralding Kershaw as the second coming of Sandy Koufax. I consider Koufax the GREATEST starting pitcher in baseball history. He shined brightly (dominating) for 5 years after figuring out his control issues that plagued him in Brooklyn. Kershaw has been every bit as good for 6 years now. He has just as good a curve and a fastball that can buckle a batters knees. If he remains healthy, he will surpass Koufax and we will all say we saw the best ever for his entire career right here in Los Angeles. Just a thought going into the postseason. A championship or two would cement my thinking even more.
