Severe divisions rack this nation, despite (or because of) 100 - TopicsExpress

Severe divisions rack this nation, despite (or because of) 100 years of so-called progressivism. This guy is a perfect representative of our present state of affairs. Throughout history conflict has always been the norm when a state becomes too big---when it morphs into a monopolistic agency of coerced redistribution of loot to special interests, a state of affairs which exacerbates the natural differences between people. I cite WashedUp, Deceit as the prime current example of this historical tendency, and in the words of the South African author Alan Paton, I cry the beloved country... I am for secession, for breaking up the nation state into much smaller political units that are the size of a Swiss Canton, or Singapore, for example; I am a supporter of honest, commodity-based money freely chosen by the people because of its liquidity and marketability and not controlled by banks or by the state. (Ultimately I am for secession down to the level of the individual, but, frankly, mankind has not reached that stage of virtuous development, and that is an ideal that will probably never be reached--but who can really say, as consciousness is the ultimate mystery and what it can achieve should not be underestimated.) I do not support representative legislative governance because I believe that laws are discovered---certainly they are not made by windbag politicians. I hold that we should organize along the lines of the Judgeships of ancient Israel, in a modern version with elected professional judges and elected professional jurors in concentric rings of courts that adjudicate breaches of common law and the libertarian non-aggression principle, and nothing else, and allow rapid resolution of conflicts with swift appeals, not the jargon-laden bullshit system we have that is clogged up with a statute-driven notion of justice. The connectivity of cultures worldwide, which has been made possible to an unprecedented extent by the internet (to the horror of elites everywhere), is the glue that will help keep us at peace with each other and advance the mutual teaching and learning that make civilization and the division of labor and trade a worthwhile endeavor on this spinning blue marble.
