Severe weather expected over parts of northern Plains and Upper Midwest. The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a Moderate Risk of severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening across parts of the northern Plains and Upper Midwest, from central and eastern North Dakota into western and northern Minnesota. Surrounding the Moderate Risk area, a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms extends from western North Dakota and northeastern South Dakota across Minnesota and into western Wisconsin. Widespread damaging winds, scattered large hail and a couple of tornadoes are possible in the risk areas.
