Seyi Oshikoya and Olu Williams, it is so unfortunate. No one - TopicsExpress

Seyi Oshikoya and Olu Williams, it is so unfortunate. No one doubts the historicity of Caesar, no who doubts the historicity of Socrates, no one doubts the historicity of Plato, no one doubts the historicity of Aristotle, no one doubts the historicity of Alexander of Macedon, no one doubts the historicity of Pontius Pilate before whom Jesus stood trial; but a godless world denies the historicity of Yehoshua (Jesus), inspite of the fact that many manuscripts show otherwise. The reason is simple: Jesus was the only One who dared to claim that He was God! And because the world cannot stomach the idea of a God, theyd rather play the Ostrich. Guys, the historicity of Jesus is a trite conclusion even among skeptical scholars. Even Richard Dawkins knows too well than to deny His historicity. The only contention now, however, which skeptics still chew is that He never resurrected from the grave. So, it really doesnt speak well of your intellectualism that you are still attacking a fact that has been laid to rest in the academia. Seyi, you were right about the Council of Nicea in 325AD convened by Emperor Constantine being a pagan christian. But you were selective about the truth. On this and more, i recommend you follow the path of scholarship and read up the following authored works- 1. Pagan Christianity (The Pagan Root of Our Modern Church Practices) by Frank Viola. 2. The Lost Christianities by Bart .D. Ehrman (this will educate you on why some later discovery of forgeries and forgery of discoveries did not make it into the Scriptures). Yehoshua is a historic fact just as your Roman Emperor Nero (that persecuted His followers) and all the historic Emperors. Cure your incredulity. #truthisscarierthanreality.
