Sgt. 1st Class Ronald Hetrick, readiness noncommissioned officer - TopicsExpress

Sgt. 1st Class Ronald Hetrick, readiness noncommissioned officer with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 237th Support Battalion, located in Cleveland, took time away from his full-time Soldier obligations on Aug. 9 to participate in the 2014 Warrior Dash Ohio II. The Warrior Dash is the worlds largest obstacle race series, held on the most rugged terrain in more than 50 locations around the world. Participants earn their Warrior helmet by tackling a fierce three- to four-mile course and 12 extreme obstacles. Giving back to their communities is what many Citizen-Soldiers strive to do. Hetrick has participated in the Warrior Dash for the past three years and said that he was inspired to run the race, with proceeds going to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, to honor all those who have served in the military - past present and future. Hetrick ran with a group of equally motivated Soldiers from Company E, Recruit Sustainment Program, Ohio Army National Guard Recruiting Battalion, located in North Canton, Ohio. After the race, all participants who earned their Warrior helmet and other prizes had the opportunity to celebrate with refreshments, including turkey legs, and listen to live music.
