Sgt. Mitch Sheehan took the ice water challenge to raise funds for ALS research to a new level. Although Sgt. Sheehan and Bob Shores took a bucket of ice water to meet their accepted challenges, Mitch decided that submersion in a pool of ice water presented a new twist. He challenged P.O. Francis McManamon to see who could lay in a pool of ice water the longest. The loser had to donate $25 to ALS research. Officer McManamon won with a time of around 2-1/2 minutes. These photos cannot begin to express the difficulty of this effort, but the good cause justified it regardless.
