Shabir Shah, others prevented from visiting Ramban, arrested at Banihal After being kept under house arrest for six days since Gool Ramban inident, the senior pro-freedom leader and Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah today while heading towards Gool Ramban to express solidairty with families of martyrs and injured was intercepted by a large contingent of Police at Banihal. The Police prevented the Chairman along with Islamic Political Party Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad Yasin Ataai and other Freedom Party activists from headingon. The Freedom Party spokesperson while condemning the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad Yasin Ataai and other party activists said that government is preventing those people from even expressing condolences to the families of martyrs and visiting injured, who express solidarity with Gool incident affected people and oppose the presence of Indian forces and their tyranny. The spokesperson said it is irony that Government allows those people to visit Ramban who do not have any kind of affection with those martyred and injured but are strengthening the Indian armed occupation on Kashmir. He said that government by allowing unrelated people and preventing straightforwardand truthful to visit Ramban is repeating its policy of political vengeance. The party spokesperson has expressed gratitude to the people of Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur and Jammu over protesting against the desecration of Holy Qur’an despite strong restrictions by authorities. He said the Jammu and Kashmir is a single body and it is impossible that people of Kashmir will remain mute when their brothers in Jammu are suppressed. The Freedom Party spokesperson while repeating the broad vision of Chairman Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah that Kashmir and Jammu province are “two sides of the same coin” said that pro-freedomleadership will never ignore the pro-freedom people of Jammu. Expressing solidarity with the affected people of Gool, Ramban, the spokesperson strongly condemned the prevention of Shabir Ahmad Shahand others by government to visit Ramban. It is totally “undemocratic and immoral” act on part of government, the spokesperson added.
