Shadow and Clancy Pants were found in the desert, along with a deceased sibling, trapped in a kennel and left for dead. The ground surrounding was littered with bullet casings, the climate was extreme day and night and yet they survived. Their determination, their will to live is immeasurable. We had both examined immediately although it wasnt till over two months later that a bullet was discovered in Shadows lung. Shadow and Clancy had only each other while in that crate in the desert. Since that day they have both grown to have their own wonderful adoptive families and of course the extended family that is the Mutt Militia. They have shown us how loving they are and just what a dog is capable of coming back from. This video was discovered by our amazing friend Holly, she shot it the first day they were taken into the shelter. To see how scared Shadow was is heartbreaking but we can all take comfort in knowing that she, along with Clancy, are living the best lives ever. Our good friend Dr. L adopted sweet Clancy Pants and Zachs brother from another mother Robbie adopted Shadow. We have watched these dogs go from the state of mind shown below to beautiful creatures who spread love and affection everywhere they go. -Jackie
