Shadow governments might seem like some vague conspiracy theory but at its core is the question of who actually runs a country. Most assume that because we have a democracy with publicly elected officials that it is this body of people that make decisions affecting our lives. A closer look might prove otherwise. For example recent reports about Kennys economic council acting as a closed shop and how the dail debate on the water bill was effectively guillotined and this following report shows just how much democracy has died in Ireland. This should be a real cause of concern for us.
