The double disc album is due for release on November 24, 2014,[3] by Shady Records and Interscope Records. The album will be released in honor of the labels 15th anniversary and as its 15th project (excluding Eminems solo releases). The compilation will feature one disc including the labels greatest hits, while the second disc will feature new material from Shady Records artists such as Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf, as well as the labels founder Eminem. Release and promotion[edit] On June 3, 2014, Eminems manager and Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg tweeted Shady XV,.[4] On August 23, 2014, during his final stop of The Monster Tour with Rihanna at Detroit, Michigans Comerica Park, Eminem wore a t-shirt branded Shady XV.[5] On August 25, 2014, he tweeted Yes its official… #SHADYXV Black Friday, presumably setting the release date as Black Friday, which falls on November 28 in 2014, alongside a 20-second teaser video, featuring images of Eminem and other Shady Records artists.[6] On the same day, August 25, a press release was issued on Eminems official webiste, announcing that Shady XV, a two-disc compilation featuring a collection of Shady Records greatest hits on one disc and new material from Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12, and Yelawolf on the other, is set to release on November 24, 2014, in the week of Black Friday. On October 13, 2014, Eminem posted a video of him showing the artwork of the upcoming release along with the description Back to basics! Here’s the cover for #SHADYXV out 11/24 on various social media websites.[2] The cover depicts a black and red hockey mask designed by Cuzzalo Ink under two crossed chainsaws.[2][7] It will be released on Shady Records fifteenth anniversary and will be the fifteenth release on the label (excluding Eminems solo releases).[1] Hit singles such as 50 Cents In Da Club (2003) and Eminems Lose Yourself (2002), have been confirmed for the greatest hits disc.[1] Singles[edit] The first single, Guts Over Fear, which features vocals by Australian singer-songwriter Sia and production from Emile Haynie, was previewed in the trailer for the upcoming film The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington, released on June 16, 2014 (with its title not yet revealed).[8][9] A TV spot for the film was released on August 24, 2014, and aired during the MTV Video Music Awards, at the end of which it said featuring the new song Eminem feat. Sia Guts Over Fear from Shady XV - Black Friday.[9] The song was released a day later on the iTunes Store.[10] It was later confirmed that the track will also roll during the closing credits of The Equalizer.[1]
