Shah arrested in Sumbul Government Responsible for killing of Kashmiri youths 6 July 2013 Srinagar :Police on Saturday detained the chairman of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabir Ahmad Shah and Islamic political party chairman Mohammad yousuf Naqash when they were on the way to North Kashmir’s Markandal and kondbal Manasbal area to express their solidarity with the families of martyrs. According to DFP statement, Shah and Yusuf were on the way to express their solidarity with the family members of Irfan ahmad Ganai and Tariq Ahmad lehrwal who were killed by the security forces. The spokesman said But the huge contingent of police intercepted them at sumbal sonawri and arrested them. While condemning the police action spokesman of Democratic Freedom party said, “it is government which is responsible for the killings of Kashmiri youth and not only this they even stop separatist leaders from expressing their sympathy with the suffering families. “By arresting separatist leaders including Shah, the struggle will not lose its momentum. The struggle will be carried forward with more enthusiasm. But the arrests will have a negative bearing on the situation across the Valley,” the spokesman cautioned. Condemning the continuous house arrest of shah spokesman said, “Shah had only gone to fulfill his reliougous duty by expressing his sympathies with the bereaved family but the government did not let it happen. Terming the government action as a mere interference in the religious duties of leaders spokesman said, “The so called democratic government have made the lives of people miserable as security forces has been give unbridled powers under the draconian law’s like AFSPA,”. The spokesman said, “From last two and a half years Shabir Ahmad shah has been either kept under house arrest or put behind the bars by the authorities which is an act of state terrorism but these tactics wouldn’t break their resolve,”. Spokesman said Omar Abdullah has already accepted the chati Singpora and Machel encounter as the blunders. Similarly time is not far when the so called Chief minister will term the autocratic behavior of his own government as unjustified mistake.
