Shahrukh Khan has had a very successful year after creating big hits such as “Chennai Express” and “Happy New Year” and doing a world wide tour. After signing three new movies this year, the actor is taking some time off to celebrate a great 2014 and set new goals for 2015 with his kids and wife Gauri. According to reports, the actor is looking forward to relaxing during the holiday and is planning to ring in the new year with his family in Dubai. Khan owns a bungalow in the luxurious Palm Jumeirah area and will be flying out to UAE on Dec. 24 from Mumbai. SRK’s eldest son, Aryan, is currently studying in London and will be flying out directly to Dubai to meet the family there. The actor will also allegedly throw a party for his close family and friends in Dubai, however, nothing has been confirmed. Until then, Khan is slowly starting to work on his new movie, “Raees,” and while they get ready to shoot, the production team recently announced that Mahira Khan will star opposite of the actor. The film, which also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is an action drama set in Gujarat. Farhan Akhtar also stars in the film as a cop while SRK plays a bootlegger. Shahrukh described the movies as “more of an earthy role.” “I am a very urban actor,” said SRK. “So I found that interesting.” The film started filming on Nov. 1 and is slated to release sometime next year. SRK is also solely focusing on his upcoming film, “Fan,” since he likes to work on one movie at a time. The actor described the idea behind “Fan” saying, “I liked the story of ‘Fan’ and it’s not like what has been mentioned on Twitter. I have never seen life from a point of someone who likes me. It would be very interesting for me to be on the other side. To be a fan, what does it mean felt like a good idea and it’s diametrically opposite to who I am so it would be very interesting.”
