Shahzad Irfan [Mr Bilawal! please spare Hoshu Sheedi and Sindh] I have sinned. This was a message forwarded by Charles Napier to authorities after capturing Sindh, following a bloody battle of DuBaa fought on March 24, 1843, near Hyderabad. Talpur Amirs have sympathetic stance for Afghans in the First Anglo-Afghan War (1839–42). This was a matter of concern for Charles Napier, who initially forced Talpurs to sign a pact. However, immediately after demise of Mir Sher Muhammad, Charles Napier occupied Central Sindh including Hyderabad the then capital of Sindh. The battle of DuBaa was a last ditch effort, where Sindhis gathered to liberate Sindh from the occupation of the British East India Company. They were spear-headed by General Hoshu Sheedi. A fierce battle pitched resulting in deaths of over 5000 Sindhis. The angry Napier ordered executions on massive scale. Battle of DuBaa sealed fate of independent Sindh. All hopes of liberation were demolished. The Sindhis, however began an armed insurgency which continued until 1942. Hur Movement was a sequel to this aspiration of liberated Sindh. Soorhiya Badshah was also executed by colonial administration. The cities across Sindh were severely bombed. Hoshu belonged to the African Slave community - the Sheedis . Before his death in the Battleground of DuBaa, he called out the famous slogan: “مرويسون پر سنڌ، نه ڏيسون Marvesoon, Par Sindh na Desoon [We will die but not give Sindh to others] Hoshu fought with such an unmatched heroism and courage that even his enemy Sir Charles Napier buried him with full military laurels. Hoshu represents rebellious Sindh. Mr Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Shareek Chairmen, has brought a bad taste for this epic call. The call of Marsoon Marsoon .... itself is incorrect. Its Marvesoon Per Sindh Na Desoon. Around world, people who are perhaps ignorant or have bad taste for historical significance or indeed have little respect for sindhian nationalism, manipulate this call as Joke. Urdu and Social Media are ruthlessly demeaning this Sindhian Aspiration of liberated Sindh every now and then. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari need to be cursed for all his immature sloganeering and hide and seek play with Uncle Altaf. People around impure Pakistan may fiendishly support Zardari and PPP for ulterior motives, but Sindhian identity has received a tarnished image from three fiendish leaders, namely, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Asif Ali Bhutto Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Nana Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto used to declare himself Rano (princely ruler), who secured himself his Momal (the Government). Rano symbolised Prime Minister and Momal was satrapal Seat. The Nawasa follows footprints of Nana. He calls himself Hoshu Sheedi of modern Sindh. Its notable to mention here that Momal-Rano is famous story immortalised by Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. Quaid e Awam and his Nawasa seek to breath in Sindhian Identity in the time of distress. In power, they are third world leader, Leader of Pakistani Awam. When they have loose motions, they prefer to denote themselves in Sindhian legends. Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame. - Zarmeena Hassan Baloch
