Shakey Graves and I wrote the song Dearly Departed almost a year ago to play that night at Paper Birds halloween show, and only once around the sun later, the title of that song has a whole new meaning for me. I am leaving Paper Bird after 8 amazing, crazy, beautiful years to pursue my own music. So much love and gratitude to that group and those people for all that weve created and experienced together for the better part of a decade! cant wait to see whats next for them. Whats next for me? This fall Ill be on tour opening for and singing with Shakey, with dates all over North America and Canada, as well as an appearance on the Conan OBrien Show! dates will be announced soon as well as a new music video from Woman to Woman, my newest album. As this new chapter of life unfolds I look to the future with raw joy and excitement and to the past with a grateful heart.
