Shall we Pray Father in Jesus name, we are so grateful this morning for the gift of life and salvation that we are enjoying. Thank You for loving us with a love so deep and profound. Thank You for Your kindness that is truly unequalled. Thank You for every heavenly blessing that You have released to us at this hour. Above all, we appreciate You so much for making a way for us so we may walk on it. A highway of holiness that leads home. A highway on which there are no ferocious beasts. A highway on which the signposts are clearly marked and the landmarks are distinct and explicit. Precious Father, as we arise to continue with the journey of our lives, open our eyes so we may look out for the distinctive features that distinguish this highway. Features like righteousness, repentance and holiness, purity, unconditional love, blamelessness, Persistence, Desire for a lasting legacy, Maturity, Responsibility, Spiritual attractiveness, Empowering others, Long term tenure with You Lord, Outstanding leadership and many more features that You have taught us. Precious Father, where we dont see these features as we walk, fire us up to make an about turn so we may get back to the right highway before it is too late . We are well aware that Galatians 5:19-21 does not in any way define this highway that You did open for us out of deep sacrificial love. The acts of the flesh described therein are landmarks of a different highway. Oooh Lord, we do not want to walk on this broad highway of death. Today, we are making a resolution, a firm resolution to find life which is only found in Christ Jesus. Therefore precious Father, this morning we are repentant. We are remorseful of the way we have wasted time walking, eating and celebrating with death in the name of enjoying life. We ask You to forgive us for plunging ourselves into deep quagmires of sin that have now defiled many until they are unrecognizable from the original blueprint. Lord, may Your grace that is sufficient find us just as we are. May this grace today transform us into a people that are confident in their God. A people that are ready to obey without asking foolish questions that are clearly informed by hell. A people that yearn for nothing less than intimacy with You. Heavenly Father, today, as we start anew, we are making a resolution like the Hebrew boys, not to defile ourselves with the kingly diet. Today we resolve to eat Jerusalem diet. Today we resolve to walk on the straight and the narrow to the Glory of Your Holy name. Mighty Holy Spirit, fire us up today so we may move away from the coldness of sin. Let this fire put us on the move ( hakuna tena kuvalia kabuti nyeusi na kujikunja kwa kona ati baridi). Yes Lord. For this we Pray in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen
