Shalom TCL Women! When I was in my early teens I suffered from suicidal depression which resulted in a suicide attempt. As I grew into my teens I became self absorbed because of the overwhelming needs that I thought were unfulfilled in my life. My solution to this agonizing time was to take my own life. I ended up in the hospital in a 3 day coma during which God in his sovereignty spoke to me. He said “it is not your time yet I have work for you to do.” This profound and inexplicable encounter with the living God revealed to me not only was there hope but that God had a greater purpose for me. Over the years God has enabled me to use this experience to be a blessing to others. God as my father showed me that it was not his plan for me to take my life, but that Jesus gave His for me that I might live and have eternal life! Once we are able to see outside of ourselves, beyond our circumstances, however overwhelming, impossible, difficult or painful, we can see God is at work bringing light into the darkness, wisdom, revelation, deliverance and freedom, so that we are equipped to be a blessing to others! That His will be done not ours! Ephesians 2:7-10 The Message (MSG) “ Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”
