Shame for PNG Abroad! As a Papua New Guinean citizen Living abroad I have grave concerns of the way the our high commission in New Zealand is being run. The well known “Rogue” High commissioner, “Power hungry” William Dihm currently the Acting Secretary of Foreign Affairs who for a number of months simultaneously served as our High commissioner in 2013 which went against NZ protocol, is still yet to send our NEC appointed Head of Mission former Brig Gen Francis Agwi to New Zealand. The reasons for this long delay I believe are; 1. The Dihm family uses the wellington office as a cash cow for all family expenses. 2. Mr Dhim is using the mission to hire friends and family. 3. The family who still live in wellington still uses the mission to pay for medical bills and other travelling expenses. 4. The wellington office has been used to defend visa violating family members, how embarrassing. Was this a ploy just to get Mr Agwi out of his post as commander of the Defense Force, and to find himself thumb twiddling at home. The NZ post is a significant mission for Papua New Guinea, known for being very instrumental in brokering peace in the Bougainville and facilitating the ongoing relations between the two countries and should not be held ransom at the discretion of one family. That office needs to be Audited to find out how much of our tax payers money is being thrown into that bottomless pit. Dihm has a lot to answer for.
