Shame on America for acquitting Darren Wilson! The legacy - TopicsExpress

Shame on America for acquitting Darren Wilson! The legacy of European colonialism has not been good - especially because it came from Christians who otherwise claim a higher moral ground and because it created deep and near permanent inequalities. The memories of the inequalities is fresh even today and contributes to continued stereotyping, prejudice, highhandedness, hegemonies, legitimizations, and so on. Its because European colonialism allowed for a relatively more objective and detailed perspective of history to be developed of its times than for instance did Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic colonialisms or imperialisms. Darren Wilsons snuffing out of a human life bolstered by the systemic inequality in American society is the latest such event to expose and shame presettled evil mentalities. But Americans who claim to be the worlds greatest philanthropists, Christian missionaries and bearers of peace and justice must know that the Christian God (if there is any such - there is only one God of all creation, I believe) does not tolerate or condone such evil. For such offensive attitudes and behaviors racist Americans put themselves directly, not against people they are prejudiced against and hate, but against the God who has created and loves them! See what God actually thinks of such haters and killers of others: Woe to those who execute evil laws and to those who consistently pass unjust judgments so that they deprive the needy of justice and rob the poor of their rights. They take widows (during colonial times they took tens of thousands of virgins and wives of others) as their spoil, and plunder orphans. What will such people do when God punishes and devastates them? To whom will they flee for protection? And who will protect their wealth? - Isaiah chapter 10 verse 3. Can a throne of destruction be allied to You, Oh God? Can one who devises mischief by the unjust laws he frames ever be on Your side, Oh God? ... They condemn the innocent to death - Psalm 94 verses 20 to 23. God hates double standards in weights; and unjust scales are not good - Proverbs chapter 23 verse 22. God hates dishonest scales, but delights in accurate weights - Proverbs chapter 11 verse 1. God is disgusted by the behavior of those who act dishonestly - Deuteronomy chapter 25 verse 16. There are seven things God hates: proud eyes, a lying mouth, hands that shed innocent blood, hearts that plan evil, feet that run towards doing evil, false witness, and the ones who create trouble in society - Proverbs chapter 6 verses 16 to 19. God hates liars, but delights in them that can be trusted - Proverbs chapter 12 verse 22. God hates two kinds of people: those who justify the wicked, and those who condemn the righteous - Proverbs chapter 17 verse 15.
