Shame on the disgusting vile parking company who run Northwick Park Hospital car park. I was parked in a disabled bay for hospital with Oliver yesterday, which is 6 hours max. Tom had gone to get Skye on the train. We are told by the doctor that they want to take Oliver to GOSH asap for a possible MRI that night. Transport had been ordered and was on its way. Meanwhile, im stuck at the hospital with my car and no Tom with Oliver, so I cant sit with him in the ambulance and move my car from hospital at the same time. Ive asked if I could drive him to GOSH as its easier, but as they didnt know what they were dealing with and they needed him there quickly, and if stuck in traffic they can bluelight him there. Ambulance was the only option. As if yesterday wasnt stressful enough, the doctor, nurses and myself were racking our brains how to get Ollie to GOSH in ambulance as he needed someone with him, but enable me to get my car out of hospital as Tom doesnt drive and it wld of been stuck there with a ticket or potentially more than one ticket. The doctor, bless him got on the phone and called hospital parking, and explained it was an emergency that Oliver needed me with him in the ambulance, so would it be ok for me to leave my car in the disabled bay, with ollies blue badge on display till I cld come back and get it. He was told that not only was this not possible, that if I left my car there I could get multiple parking tickets if it wasent removed out the bay. WTF!!!!!!!! The doctor was livid, the nurses were livid and I was livid, we were all bloody livid and stressed. Fortunately, one of the health care workers who we know really well and who Ollie knows, kindly offered to sit with Ollie in the ambulance and at GOSH till I got there in the Car (rhianna and jade got there first ). I am beyond disgusted with the car parking company, and I will big making a huge formal complaint. How can they do this to families?
