Shannon Konefal, my dear friend and one of the friends who were out and about yesterday in District 2, posted this under the KOB story. Again, the anonymous tipper should apologize to me and the Aragon family for doing this to us. The anonymous tipper should also apologize to my dear friends who are good women and the volunteers in this West Side Community who make it a better place to live. ________________________________ If this car did have a flier on its window, then this car was parked at Peter Piper Pizza and NOT in the funeral parking lot like the anonymous tipper would like you to believe. A closer look at the photo submitted by this person can easily prove that the roof lines of the homes in the background match those to the houses behind Peter Piper Pizza parking lot. How do I know? I know because I am one of three moms who spent the afternoon putting flyers all over District 2 at 7 family friendly locations. I am the mom who put flyers in the Peter Piper Pizza parking lot between their front door across the parking lot to the After-Hours Pediatric Center (no where near the funeral home parking lot). Kathy Korte was not with us, she was home making campaign calls. For the record, ZERO flyers were put on cars at any funeral home yesterday. A funeral home on any day is not the target audience for a conversation regarding education policy. It is sad that someone took the opportunity to spread misinformation claiming foul play. As moms, our hearts hurt for any parent who has lost a child and the Aragon family has been in our thoughts and prayers throughout this last week. Chances are, if you were out and about in District 2 yesterday you may have found a flyer on your windshield. Maybe you were even one of many who Kathy4Kids.org parent volunteers spoke with about harmful education policies in our public schools. Or maybe you were one of many who waved to us and gave us the thumbs up. If you were, thank you for all of the support you showed us throughout the day. Channel 4, thank you for giving us the opportunity to tell the facts surrounding this false accusation. I noticed our accuser declined to be present for this interview. Anonymous tipper, it is sad that a friend of the Aragon family would take this tragic event and turn it into a campaign smear story.
