Sharad Pawar (Power) recently call his followers to erase voters - TopicsExpress

Sharad Pawar (Power) recently call his followers to erase voters ink and vote two times because elections in Maharshtra are going to be held in many phases. His logic, and upto some extent I personally feel the correct one, is every voter who lives in one place and work other place should vote at two places. Kirit Somaiya of Mumbai BJP lodged a complaint with Election Commission and the Commission sent Pawar a notice for violating Model Code of Conduct. Pawar, as politicians are known, turned around and said that what he said was In light mood. He has backtracked by apologising to the Election Commission and requested not to peruse the matter further. Good Drama. I am repeating my demand to the Chief Election Commissioner. If any candidate is allowed to contest from two different places then why a voter shouldnt be allowed to vote the same way? Earlier I had sent an e-mail to Vinod Zutshi, Dy Election Commissioner, New Delhi to which as expected he hasnt responded as yet. Candidates contesting from two different places are in fact playing frauds with the people and nation. After wining from both places the candidate has to vacant one seat. It means re-election in that place that involves a huge taxpayers money. It is time now for reforms in election rules and laws. I am talking about reform and not Re-Form. Together we can do it. Send e-mails, write letters to CEC, write letters to the editors of the newspapers. Save people-Save nation. Jai Hind.
