Share the video thevideographyblog/share/avengers-age-of-ultron/ . Tom Hiddleston is called to London for reshoots of his character, Loki, in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. The Avengers, released in May 2012, is based on the superhero team from Marvel comics and featured a stunning ensemble of A-List actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo. The team is formed to stop Loki (Hiddleston), the brother of Thor (Hemsworth), from taking over the planet. Because director Josh Whedon did not originally believe the Loki character would be troublesome enough for the superheroes, the movie was intended to have two villains. Whedon realized his mistake soon enough, and the film finished with only Loki as the villain. As many of the original Avengers have been called back to the set of the sequel for more work, it was little surprise that the world’s favorite villain was asked to return as well – hopefully, with more scenes to expand his role. Unlike many films, fans have turned to the Loki character and cited him as their favorite; this role has had a major part in Hiddleston’s fairly recent skyrocket to fame. But why do fans love the villain so much? What sets him apart from other villains, and why do fans call his name instead of Iron Man or Captain America? The reasons behind Loki’s popularity are as numbered as tricks he has up his sleeve. First, as the god of mischief and trickery, Loki mixes things up; without him, the movies would be dull.
