In todays issue: Reflecting on the theme of his new book, Stop the Coming Civil War, Dr. Savage laid out the troubling similarities between Abraham Lincolns unconstitutional power grabs and Obamas numerous efforts to consolidate government power and weaken our military. Abraham Lincoln, who was a great man for having emancipated the slaves, was also a terrible man, Savage told his audience. And remember: Lincoln is one of Barack Obamas heroes. Obama may be copying some of Lincolns techniques to gain total power. Like Lincoln did during the Civil War, Obama sees the military as his palace guard. We might see them policing our towns and neighborhoods for any sign of insurrection. During the Civil War, Lincoln ordered the censoring of news stories. Obama has not only turned a deaf ear to criticism of his administration, he has effectively censored the media through political pressure. Thats why I say were under assault from both inside and outside our government. While the government consolidates its power and weakens our military, the liberal media watches the storm clouds of civil war gather with little reportage, outrage or resistance.
