Share your Opinion about Facebook in the College Classroom - TopicsExpress

Share your Opinion about Facebook in the College Classroom (Research Opportunity, with $25 Amazon raffle) If you have received this e-mail, than you have been invited to participate in a study from West Virginia University looking to better understand how students perceive Facebook in the college classroom. Specifically, we are interested in hearing from students who have taken (or are currently taking) a college class where the course instructor (teaching assistant, instructor, or professor) used a Facebook group or page as part of the class itself (either as supplemental or primary material). You do not need to have actually used the Facebook group or page, as we are interested in hearing from students who did and did not use these pages, and their reasons for making this decision. All survey data will be collected anonymously, and the survey should take no more than 15 to 20 minutes to complete. For your time, we are offering all participants a chance to win one of five $25 Amazon gift cards, with a new drawing for every 100 participants we are able to enroll in the study (and, you can win more than one drawing!). If you are interested, please visit wvu.qualtrics/SE/?SID=SV_bJeZ1ROP4m6pua9 to complete the survey now, or contact Dr. Nick Bowman (the study’s lead researcher) of WVU at [email protected]. This study has been approved by WVU Institutional Review Board, Protocol #1409426272. Thanks for your time, and for considering our survey offer. You are also welcome to share this e-mail with anyone whom you think might be interested. ~Dr. Nicholas “Nick” David Bowman Assistant Professor, Communication Studies Research Associate, Interaction Lab (#ixlab) West Virginia University
