Share your thoughts with me please. Tracy has a very interesting dilemma we all have been thru at some point. So I thought instead of just replying Ill get you all to share your thoughts so she has a more broader perspective. Perhaps some of you may have a tip or two to share with us. Heres what she says. Hi Veena, I started off as a self taught cake decorator so in the beginning I did a lot of cakes for family and friends; often for free. But now that I have started cakes as a business. I have not time to do these free orders. Especially when family and friends think they can call the night before and just tell you to make the cake. Even if they agree to pay cost I have no time and cannot accommodate these request. Is there a better way to deal with this? I would love to know what you and the other cake decorators do in situations like this. Some of my close friends make me feel like I am not being fair to them by not accommodating their request.
