Shared by Daniela Benz Colasurdo on WoodenBoat: Sailboat TUANTE II and crew of four left San Fernando (Buenos Aires, Argentina) on August 22, 2014, on a pleasure cruise to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The boat was disabled by a storm Aug. 26th but the crew survived and assured us they were all four in perfect condition. Last Known Position on October 13th at 19:31: 29°14 3,4908S - 46°12 59,0718 W. The Argentine Government continues the search through microwave satellite swaths and verification flights. The Tunantes are without batteries on the boat, consequently they dont have radio. Please, stay tuned to the radar signals and approach them to see what they are. Also in areas of uninhabited islands (there are several) along the coasts of Brazil and Uruguay.
