Shared by Michelle Morgan November 21, 2014 10:28pm I received interesting information this week from our family advocate. I was wondering if this something you post. With the holiday fast approaching any help from the community would be greatly appreciated! To: Shoreline Residents Parkwood Elementary school has approximately 30 students whos families are currently homeless. During the extended five day Thanksgiving holiday (no school Thursday, Friday and Monday) the children from these families will have no access to the regularly provided food that the school provides. Of these 30 families we have already arranged through existing community support networks for food to be provided for 18 of the families. For the remaining 12 families we are asking for $50 per family in need to support them over this Thanksgiving break in the form of grocery store gift cards, as them families are homeless and do not have access to kitchen. When you are at the store please pick up whatever you can. $15, $25 or $50 as everything helps! Please bring them to the school and give Kristina Weidert, school advocate. Any questions or pick ups Michelle Morgan will do. If you want to drop off you can come to the school. Parkwood Elementary School 1815 North 155th Street Shoreline, WA 98133 * For further questions or interest in donating, please contact Michelle Morgan in her attached Facebook link: https://facebook/michelle.morgan.5667 Thank you in advance! - Lien (Lynn)
