Shared from FB Ministries #FaithBasedMinistries #FaithInPrayerHopeInWaitingPart4 Today Id like to conclude with this weeks teaching titled, Faith in prayer, hope in waiting My hope is this small teaching can help you understand that the success of your prayer is not a secret formula, but more of a guide Jesus wanted us to use when speaking with God the Father. You should also understand that waiting on Him plays a great part too. Be persistent in ASKing Him, stay focused on SEEKing for Him (In others, in His Word, in prayer through kindness) and most of all KNOCK until you get your answer. (Like our children do with us) When you take the first letter of each of these actions you will alway be left with this word. A.S.K. Now, before we finish with the last three principles to this formula Jesus gives us, I want to share with you how NOT to have your prayer cancelled before you even begin to apply what you learned this week. 1) Jesus make this point very clear. By His words He make it a statement we should not be repetitive with your prayer. Which unfortunately is what many of us are taught to do. God wants you to have a real conversation with Him, not a robotic one. Im not judging how you were taught, Im reading and sharing what the bible says so that you can have a better understanding on the whole topic of prayer and not just a portion of it. Jesus tells them before he start the prayer, read verse 7. verse 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 2) After Jesus teaches them this wonderful revelation on how to speak, He continues to speak to them in v. 13 and 14 of chapter 6. Frankly, it is one of the hardest things we learn to do because of pride. FORGIVENESS. You have to forgive so that your heart is free and open. Forgiveness isnt for the person that offended your.... forgiveness releases you. If youve never truly understood this then youve never truly done it. Dont allow someone to rob your prayer before God because of unforgiveness. verse 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Put these six simple principles into practice and watch how God begins to move on your behalf. Write down your prayer request and but forget to testify of Gods Grace so that He can get the glory. Always remember that prayer is you communicating with God and God speaking to you. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ONE WAY RELATIONSHIP. Now, lets conclude this weeks study. Here are the last three principles. 4. Ask for forgiveness (verse 12) -Teach how to forgive 5. Ask for protection for the day (verse 13) -Don’t allow yourself to be tempted. Matthew 26:41 -Recognize the escape of the temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13 -Be patient during the test. James 1:12 6. Kingdom praise & Worship -In everything you do, give GOD the praise, by the Spirit, for His son Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20 I pray you are blessed and going forward you will be encouraged to know God is listening to you pray. I bless you in Jesus name. I pray this upon you. Father, I thank you for your loving kindness over my life and for your mercy. I ask that you make this revelation known to all who read it, study it and most of all apply it. I pray you break down the religious barrier from the errors in how we prayed before and bring us correction through your Spirit. You desire to have a true relationship with us through all your son Jesus Christ has done on the cross. Thank you for giving us an open door to come to you in every situation. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
