Shared from #HCC Hi CCC 25,407 ppl Here is a request can u just donate 100 RS for this cause!!! after reading my Friends request I hope you will !!! Please spend 5 minutes of ur time to save a life of HCL employees son !!! I literally beg you !! -------------- Respected *********, We Mr and Mrs. Sudeendra D parents of twin kids, Jishikha and Jeeth would like to put forward some concern on our son’s health issue. The delivery of our twins happened on 12th Jan 2013 at Columbia Asia Hospital Hebbal, Bangalore. As it was a preterm delivery both the kids were in NICU for 26 days. In the 3rd month we got to know that our daughter is not achieving her growth mile stone and the delay may get increase as she grows, so doctor suggested us to start therapies like occupational therapy, physio therapy and speech therapy for a year or two. 2 to 3 times in a week we use to take her to vhydehi hospital Bangalore for the therapies. Later in the 6th month we observed that our son Jeeth, becoming pale and not showing any interest towards feeding, we consulted Dr.Sai Manohar Ullal, he thoroughly diagnose and conveyed us that he is suffering from blood disorder called “Thalassemia Major” which can’t be treated by any normal surgery or by medication. The only best way to cure this is to do a “Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)”. To carry out this surgery we need to get a Donor whose DNA should match 10/10 with my son’s DNA. We were not shore when we will get a match, mean while doctor suggested us to do regular blood transfusion so that his hemoglobin should be maintained between 9 to 10 till we get a match. But regular blood transfusion will have its own side effect like excess iron particle deposition on organs like spleen, heart, kidney, liver and some other organs as well. When the feretin (iron particles) level crosses 1500 we should start iron removal treatment which will also have its own side effect in hindering his growth mile stones. Each transfusion cost is coming up to Rs.7000 to Rs.8500 and around Rs.3000 to Rs.3500 for our daughter therapy. We initially started with national level DNA Search, we tried it for a year but unfortunately we dint get a match. Later we consulted Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore for international DNA Search under the guidance of Dr.Sunil Bhat, Pediatric Hematologist. Fortunately we got a German Donor whose DNA matched 10/10 with my son’s DNA. As donor is willing to donate his stem cells, Doctor has suggested us to do BMT by the end of March 2015, the whole process of surgery will be around 1 to 2 months. The expenditure for the surgery as per the Doctor’s quotation will be around Rs.27lakhs ,if no major complication are encountered. Early bone Marrow Transplant, lesser will be the side effects and complications that can occur. So we are trying all possible ways to raise funds. As we are unable to afford such a huge amount and as it is not covered under Mediclaim. Hence we are trying to reach out you for any financial help that could be tried from your end. Requesting you to do the needful. Thanks and with regards MR and Mrs Sudeendra D H*L Tech Bangalore Account no: 05491610052996 HDFC electronic city ifsc hdfc0000549 mob no:9886608462 --------- Note :- this message is authentic as checked prior before posting.
